A Scottsdale remodel steeped in Spanish heritage - arches, wallpaper, and history reborn.

The Story

Project No. 8556 is Scottsdale residence began as a dated structure, ready to be infused with soul and story. The client’s wanted a remodel that embraced Spanish architecture - the arches, textures, and timeless detailing that carry the warmth of history. Maeve Design Collective was entrusted with full-service architectural interior design, reworking the home’s interiors with wallpaper, rhythm, and restraint.

Spanish architecture has a way of holding both grandeur and intimacy. For this remodel, our focus was on reinstating those qualities within a Scottsdale home that had lost its identity over time.

The entryway became a gesture of welcome — arched thresholds softened the transitions between spaces, creating flow and rhythm. Walls were reworked in wallpaper, their texture catching light in subtle variations, a detail that feels both artisanal and enduring.

In the kitchen, we emphasized functional elegance with custom cabinetry that complemented rich wood stains and natural stone. Tile selections drew inspiration from traditional Spanish motifs, while remaining muted and tonal to align with Maeve’s aesthetic of restraint.

Bathrooms were redesigned as small sanctuaries: arched niches, plaster walls, and timeless stone vanities echoing the romance of old-world design. The remodel avoided trend and leaned into history, ensuring the home would feel relevant and soulful decades from now. The result is a Scottsdale residence that lives as a celebration of Spanish design — not replicated, but reinterpreted with grace.
